This project presented logistical challenges due to the high volume of military aircraft traffic. Rick Engineering Company's Photogrammetry Division provided aerial photography for both large-scale mapping and digital orthophotos for 800 acres of runway infield improvements. Topographic mapping was provided at a scale of 1”=100’. Topography was collected from scanned digital imagery using soft-copy photogrammetry. Much of the terrain was automatically correlated to produce digital terrain points from which one-foot contours were generated. Both black and white and color digital orthophotos were produced.
