Working with the County of San Luis Obispo, Los Osos Community Advisory Boards and Vision Committees, Rick Engineering Company provided urban design and master planning, traffic engineering, and landscape design services for the half-mile streetscape project within the downtown redevelopment area of Los Osos.

The redevelopment program includes improved sidewalks and streetscape, landscape planting, landscape medians, crosswalks, and proposed signalized intersections. Also included are pedestrian public realm improvements, such as street trees in tree grates, community furnishings, bollards, streetlights, bike racks, signage, and entry gateway monumentation. The next steps include preparing a final plan, design criteria, traffic impact analysis, landscape mainte-nance analysis, and the completion of the Corridor Study Report for implementation.
