Rick Engineering Company's Transportation Division prepared project development documents for three interchanges on Interstate 805. The project included traffic forecasting, traffic impact analysis, and alternative studies to upgrade the capacity of current and future city growth. The scope of work included preliminary design and environmental clearance for upgrading of the existing interchanges at Telegraph Canyon Road and Orange Avenue - Project Study Report/Project Report/Environmental Documents (PSR/PR/ED). The project also included a preliminary design alternative to support an Access Approval Request to the FHWA for a new interchange at Palomar Street, followed by a PSR. Additional scope of work included plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for the Telegraph Canyon Road and Olympic Parkway interchange improvements. Work consisted of the realignment of exit ramps, ramp widenings, signalization of ramp termini, traffic signing, striping, stage construction, and tie-backing retaining walls.
