Rick
Engineering Company's Transportation
Division prepared metric plans, specifications,
and estimates for this interchange project. Work consisted
of the signalization of two intersections at Camino Canada
and ramp termini; the realignment of the easterly ramps
to align with the westerly ramps; and the widening of
the eastbound exit ramp and westbound entrance ramp.
The Camino Canada undercrossing was widened and vertically
realigned to meet current Caltrans standards.
Also included within this
project was the design of soundwalls, retaining walls, signage,
lighting, a ramp meter, a Caltrans park-and-ride facility,
and construction support requested by the Resident Engineer.
Additional services included aerial control, aerial photography,
and topographic mapping of 4,500 feet done to Caltrans' metric
specifications.
