Rick
Engineering Company was one of a five agency Team
in the North Embarcadero Visionary project; including the
City of San Diego, the San Diego Unified Port District,
the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC), the County
of San Diego and the US Navy. The Plan created a unified
vision for the waterfron area of San Diego. The study formulated
several planning alternatives for the area, and evaluated
its urban design, circulation, environmental, regulatory
and economic factors.
Rick Engineering's
Urban
Design & Planning provided infrastructure, jurisdictional and policy inventories,
proposed both technical andpolitical strategies and prepared
a step-by-step program for implementing the vision. The
plan is now in the first stages of execution.
