This
mixed-use master-planned community of 3,200 acres accommodates
12,000 dwelling units, 380 acres of business parks, 80
acres of schools, 100 acres of parks, and 100 acres of
commercial development. Rick
Engineering Company's Civil
Engineering Division provided civil engineering
for the project and was involved in the design of a major
state highway within an area of archaeological and biological
constraints; resolved major soil problems; worked with
hillside and ridgeline development restrictions; designed
flood control and water reclamation; and provided a wastewater
management program. The design of 10.7 miles of a reclaimed
water system included 20-inch, 16-inch, and 12-inch mains.
In
addition, for more than 15 years, Rick
Engineering Company's Surveying
and Mapping Division has provided
construction staking, aerial mapping, and subdivision
mapping services for thousands of residential units,
a golf course, business center, and the Olympic Training
Center at EastLake Development.
