Rick Engineering Company’s Water Resources Division was created in 1978 in response to our clients’ increasing demand for hydrologic and hydraulic analyses. An established, integral part of the company, the group offers widely ranging experience in surface runoff modeling, flood control design, hydraulic and sediment transport analyses, urban drainage design, FEMA floodplain mapping and processing, and storm water quality modeling and design.
Our expertise brings enormous value to clients faced with complex drainage constraints; clients and projects come from public agencies, private developers, and individual property owners. Fully versed in evolving construction and post-construction storm water quality regulations and requirements, we frequently provide onsite SWPPP training, site inspections, and storm water quality sampling services for projects under construction.
The Water Resources Division maintains a staff of engineers familiar with local, state, and federal agency requirements. The Division uses state-of-the-art equipment and modeling techniques drawing from the abilities of our in-house GIS Services Division to assist with mapping and modeling, and up-to-date water resources modeling capabilities and software.
We commonly perform water resource design services that integrate flood control with innovative stormwater quality solutions for a wide variety of projects including:
- Single Family and Multi Family Residential
- Commercial/Industrial Developments
- Urban/Downtown Redevelopment Areas
- Parks, River Restoration and Estuary Enhancement Projects
- Bridge and Roadway Design Projects
- Schools, Military Land, Sovereign Nations, and Airports
- Regional Drainage Improvement Projects
The Water Resources Division has a long history of successful projects. We invite you to review some of our recent projects and see how Rick Engineering Company’s Water Resources Division can serve you.
